As the semester draws to a close, you find yourselves in The County Arms pub, a fine establishment with plenty of the local ales and hearty Sunday roasts. A blazing fire crackles in the corner, a rare source of warmth in the cold, damp English climate. The atmosphere is hushed, as students huddle around the fire, order a pint or two and mull over the latest lecture; a few tutors are here, too, reviewing their tutees' progress and examining paper proposals. The barman, a portly chap, seems unusually grim today, pouring ale and taking orders with barely a"hmph" of acknowledgement, and every so often, he looks out the window into the dark night, as though waiting for something...

These props are said to be more than they seem - they're used as bargaining chips by the crime bosses, as each contains powerful evidence against one of the ruling Mafia families in NYC.
